Do you like everything to be just right before you get started?
I am a “fair weather runner”. By fair weather, I mean the temperature needs to be between 57 and 73 (Fahrenheit) with low humidity. The problem with this is that conditions are rarely perfect. Which has a direct impact on how my running is progressing.
This happens in business too. You want to make sure you have the perfect list, the perfect resources, the perfect schedule, the perfect amount of time, the perfect pitch or the perfect program before you engage. Since nothing is ever perfect you have an excuse not to move forward. The result – you don’t get the clients, reach, recognition, success or knowledge you want.
You have three choices when conditions aren’t perfect:
1. Do it differently.
2. Do it anyway.
3. Wait.
Numbers one and two will move your business forward. Number three will keep you exactly where you are.
Watch this video to see how I dealt with imperfect conditions, so that I can move forward to my goals, and then let me know what you’re doing to meet your goals.
