Getting it done, even when you don’t want to – is a big part of productivity coaching. It’s about having integrity – toward yourself and with others.
I don’t want to be doing this. It was a long, good, holiday weekend, and I don’t want to be writing this right now.
I was negotiating with myself. I tried to convince myself that it was okay to skip this issue. But I didn’t. (So, who won that negotiation: me, or I?)
Why?
Because I made a commitment. A commitment to you and, more importantly, a commitment to myself to show up once a week and give you a bit of a nudge to help you move forward.
It’s not always easy; in fact this morning it’s really hard. It is however what must happen in order to see results.
So that’s my message for today.
Find a way to do it even if, especially if, it’s not what you want to do.
Comment below to let me know what you’re going to do today, even if you don’t want to, that will move you forward.
The picture included here is of me at the top of a ski mountain in Vermont this past weekend.
