The end of the year is a perfect time to review what you’ve accomplished and determine what, if anything, you want to do differently going forward.
Here are the steps I take to do my quick year end review.
1. Think back over the past year. What are your key accomplishments? Consider your relationships with clients, family and friends. Consider the projects that you’ve completed. Consider personal goals that you worked towards.
2. What are some of the things that you wish you had accomplished? Again look at your personal and professional relationships, projects and goals. One word of caution here…remember this is not about making you feel bad, this is simply an assessment of where you are.
3. Reviewing the list of the things you accomplished, decide what, if anything, you want to do to expand on the successes you have achieved.
4. Reviewing the list of the things you wished you had done, first decide if you still want to do them. If you don’t, then simply let it go. If you do, decide what first step to get that goal moving is and when you will take it.
2013 is a blank slate. What are you going to be doing to fill it with exactly what you want? Please let me know by sharing below.
