I learn a lot about myself, and therefore about my business, when I run.
Here’s what I learned today: these three lessons can help you turn your business around – or keep your business growing.
- It’s easy to misjudge yourself. I was 100% positive that I was running super slowly, turns out that I was running faster than I usually do. How often do you find yourself thinking that what you’re doing isn’t working or is going too slow? It’s time to do a reality check. What is really going on?
- Check in with your progress. Mile markers along the way helped inform me that I was moving forward and how much farther I had to go. What mile markers are you using for yourself?
- Don’t stop just shy of the finish line. I was so hot and tired I almost quit a quarter of a mile before I reached my goal. I reasoned that I was close enough. I kept myself going. I reached my goal. Important: This does not mean you need to strive for perfection, just make sure that you hit your realistic, “good enough”, goals.
